The Juvenile Team Clearly Defeats Fuenlabrada (6-0) and Focuses on Survival
Although the afternoon started off gray, the sky cleared up quickly and finally stopped raining in Majadahonda. The weather conditions were in line with the situation of our Juvenile Division of Honor team, which is finally hitting its peak form of the season. Under the guidance of David Bohega, the team delivered a magnificent performance from start to finish to defeat Fuenlabrada 6-0 and take a step closer to salvation.
There were no doubts at any moment: we had to win this match. And it started exactly as planned. Íñigo opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, setting the tone for a goal-scoring spree. Just two minutes later, the opposing goalkeeper came out to clear a ball, only for it to rebound off Cheik and into the visitors’ net. 2-0 in the 4th minute, with the whole game ahead and confidence soaring.
The best plays from our team were yet to come. Just past the first quarter of the match, we launched a swift counterattack from our own half, allowing Cheik to sprint past the defenders and face the goalkeeper alone. His finish was exquisite, making it 3-0. The rest of the first half was more evenly matched, but the Juvenile Team had the comfort of a secure lead. The first half ended with a 3-0 scoreline.
As if that wasn’t enough, the second half began as the first had started. In the first six minutes, we scored two more goals. In this case, Casca was the author of the 4-0 goal, and Cheik scored the 5-0 goal, with an assist from the scorer of the fourth goal. We had total control of the match, with the objective of continuing to score and keeping a clean sheet to face the last two matches with high confidence.
But our team had not come to La Oliva to settle, not even with the 5-0 lead. Four minutes later, Íñigo, who had opened the scoring, made it 6-0 to seal the deal. And there were more chances for our Juvenile Team in the second half, but the Fuenlabrada goalkeeper was inspired to prevent a bigger rout. The match ended 6-0. The other results from the matchday do not yet allow us to climb out of the relegation zone. However, we approach the crucial match against La Cruz Villanovense next week in the best form of the season.
