Derrota cruel del Juvenil ante Móstoles URJC
Our team suffered a heartbreaking defeat in stoppage time during Móstoles URJC’s visit to La Oliva (2-3).
The Juvenil División de Honor team entered the field at La Oliva on a harsh afternoon, facing rain, cold, and wind. However, they were confident that they could secure a crucial victory against a lower-ranked opponent to stay in the fight for survival. In the 17th minute, Cheik forced the opposing goalkeeper to make a fantastic save with his foot from a shot on the right side of the box.
Móstoles URJC also had some chances, but none as clear as ours. Luck favored us initially: Casca won a penalty on the right corner of the box and converted it to make it 1-0 by deceiving the goalkeeper. Despite the lack of a clear dominator in the match, things seemed to be going well for our Juvenil team, leading 1-0 at halftime.
However, bad luck struck in the second half. Despite starting the half stronger than Móstoles, they managed to withstand our pressure. In the 64th minute, the southern Madrid team capitalized on confusion in the box from a corner kick to equalize 1-1. Less than 10 minutes later, Cisco found a position to shoot from the edge of the box and put Móstoles ahead 1-2.
Our Juvenil team refused to accept defeat, especially at home and after leading for a significant portion of the match. We continued to push valiantly, and ultimately, Titi scored the equalizer to make it 2-2. However, we were not content with a draw. The final minutes were chaotic, and anything could have happened, but ultimately, Borja, who came on in the second half, scored the decisive goal to make it 2-3 for Móstoles. Next week, the Juvenil team returns to La Oliva to face Rayo Alcobendas.
